Crop Weekend and NEW Challenges

Wow, After a week of unpacking from our retreat we are finally finished for the time beinging. We have a challenge for January & February and you have guest it. Below is all the new valentine paper. It is all about Valentines Day. Your challenge should you deceide to accept it is to design a layout using 5 different valentine pages. And as the same with all the other challenges it needs to be completed or postmarked before midnight on Feb 28, 2007. You need to get it to the store before the deadline.

On to a very important Challenge!!!!! We were so inspired by Stacey's T-shirts from Junkitz that we want to have our own t-shirt for our next crop weekend. The deadline for this challenge is FEBRUARY 9th. Your design needs to be ONE color and able to fit on a 11x8.5 (Landscape) sheet of paper. The winner will be unvailed at our next crop weekend in March. Winner will receive a shirt(of course) and another prize. SAVE the date!! March 16-18 2007 More details to follow.

Ranger Classes at the weekend crop

Here is the example of Robin's Class that she will be teaching on Friday @ 7pm and Saturday @ 2pm. It is a 3 hour class and you will learn 8 techniques. If you want to take this class you need to call me before wednesday of next week to reserve your spot. The Class is $70 and it includes all the materials you will be using. If you have any questions call the store. Barb and I will be getting ready for the crop so get your stuff together and get ready to join us next week. Don't forget to make your hotel reservations and to mention Lasting Memories to get your discount. I almost forgot we have our Valentine corner getting RED HOT take a look at what is coming in. Our Jan/Feb Challenge is simple. Use 5 different Valentine pages in one page layout. You can use Karne Foster, SEI, Chatterbox or Junkitz get your entries in before the end of Feb. Get Croppin!!!

Classes at Lasting Memories

Only a couple more weeks til our weekend crop and we have lots of surprises planned for the weekend. Don't forget to make you reservation at the hotel if you are staying and reserve your seat with us. This is the HOT Crop of the Winter and you don't want to miss it. Stacey and Robin are getting really excited to spend the weekend with us so don't let this weekend...Melt Away. LOL

Stacey's Classes from Junkitz

WOW we just got the samples in today and boy are they HOT!!! I can't wait to see everyone's books and boardz after the classes at the crop. I am waiting on Robin from Ranger to send me her stuff. Don't forget to goto the website and download the registration for the crop. And please put who you want to sit next too. We take these things very seriously. Sue has offered to bring her sidekick and sizzix to share, so you can bring your dies. We have lots of goodies in store for you. I can't wait til the holidays are over so we can work on the crop. Ok we just got these in and I am totally in love with these. As you can see you add glitter to a transfer. It is awesome. Come in ans try it out. These are the samples that were done in the store. Gearing up for Christmas

Wow, We Survived Thanksgiving and now the season has started. The hustle and bussle of Christmas is finally upon us. Make sure you have the following to make your season brite:

• Make a spot in your house for your camera- so that it is easy to get to.
• Stock up on film or make sure your graphix card has room
• Batteries, Batteries, & Batteries
• Notebook or Journaling book to jot down anything you need to remember
• Stop by our store to start your gathering of all your Christmas and holiday paper you may need.

If you are making your Holiday Cards don't forget to get all of your supplies. If you plan on joining us for our Holiday Card swap you need to register before Dec 2nd with us and then come by the store on Dec 7th during our Holiday Open House from 7pm to 9pm.

Barb and I are getting ready for our Holiday Open House on Dec 7th from 7pm til 9pm. Stop by and see some of your scrappin buddies and celebrate the holidays with us. The open house will be all day starting at 10 am with a 20% off sale and ending with a card swap and holiday cheer. Sue Volpato will also have some of her Limited Edition Scrapbook Mystery Teapot Baskets on sale.

If you haven't heard yet we are having another Awesome Retreat in January so come stay warm with us and crop your holiday pictures at the holiday Inn in Danbury. We have a lot going on this month and a lot to tell everyone about. We had a really great turn out for our FREE crop. We had 8 ladies today that came to keep me busy. They packed their lunch and joined me from 10 am til 3pm. Our next FREE Crop will be on Thursday, Nov 16th from 10am to 3pm so call me to make your reservations because I have a feeling that we will be busy. 845/621-3119

Important Holiday INFORMATION!!!!!

We will be closed Nov 20 til Nov 23. We will reopen November 24th from 10-5. Barb & I will kick off the Holiday shopping season with a sale. Keep checking back to see what the sale will be. HOLIDAY OPEN House will be on Thursday December 7th from 10am til 9pm Mark that day on your calendar. We will be having our 20% Holiday Shopping plus make out your wish list so that your husband knows what you want. It will be a day of celebrating and our First Annual Holiday Card Swap!!!! In order for you to participate you need to register by Dec 2nd so everyone knows how many swappers will be participating.

Make a Wish

One of our Customers and Meetup Members is very active in the Make-A-Wish local chapter and she has asked us to help this holiday season.

The local chapter of Make-A-Wish is doing a holiday toy drive. They are collecting presents for wish children for their annual holiday party. Here's where we come in- they have a hard time getting gifts for children ages 12-18. Everyone wants to buy little kid toys. Laura thought some of our wonderfully talented crafters could make up some clip boards, stationary, gift cards, mini scrapbooks etc, that would be a good gift for teenage girls. We are still recovering after an amazing weekend. We had so much fun. Judy was our grand prize winner. We enjoyed Ali so much can't wait to see her again. This week we have a lot of new stuff in the store. We tried to hold as much stuff back as we could so that everyone at the retreat got the newest things. Also if you missed the retreat we still have a few retreat kits available for purchase. I will have those pictures up this week as well. Wow, It is the last day and we don't want it to end. Some of the girls are taking the Ali Edwards Class and others are finishing up from last nights and finalizing there last layouts with this afternoons deadline soon approaching. We went up about 12 and there were still people here scrappin. This morning we opened up at 7 to all the early birds. A couple more hours to go and then Ali gets on the plane and we start packing and then it is really over. Boo Hoo. Check back later for the last of the crop photo's and our GRAND PRIZE WINNER. It is Saturday morning and we have survived our first day. Sorry I couldn't right sooner, but I was busy and I couldn't get to the computer until this morning. Sue took some pictures that you see above you in the slide show. We are having a great time and I am glad that Ali was able to join us. She is Awesome!!!!. Barb did some make and takes and as you can see we have a fully stocked mini store with some great new stuff that we didn't even have in the store. Today Ali is booked and we have scrappers going until they can't go no more. This morning the doors opened up at 7am with the first scrappers. Not really sure what time everyone went to bed yet, but I bet it was late. We had alot of raffels and prizes that we gave away. We really had alot of fun. Well I have to go. All Packed Up!

We are all packed up!! The store is 95% empty. This is just a sampling of what we did. It was hard to take pictures and pack. I am hoping to be more diligent at the crop. I don't know If I am going to be able to take pictures while we are putting this together but I will try and take pictures on Friday Morning when People start to come in.

The walls look so empty. You can't believe how much more stuff we ordered for the crop-We have so many surprises and goodies plus raffles and more. I had so much fun planning this. Sooo many trips. I wish we had one big moving truck with men to move everything, and unpack too. Maybe one day. LOL Well, join us this weekend on-line while we try to bring the crop to you. For all who missed this one there is always the next one.

New Product!!!!

A crazy week ahead!!!

WOW!!!! I think I am going to be very busy this week. That is why I have to post now. I might not be able to post until we get settled in at the retreat!!! I am so excited. This weekend along we had so much going on. The message board is awesome. We were able to take over an abandoned board and now we are working on merging the two to become an awesome board!! Can't keep this on the shelves-hurry before its GONE

Wow, Barb and I have been so busy. We have been getting ready for the retreat that is NEXT weekend. We have lots of goodies and surprises for all of our guests. Don't forget to get your money in for the retreat. If the money isn't in we will be going to the waitlist. And for all who can't come to our retreat the store will be closed Thursday Afternoon, 3 pm October 12 and we will not open again until Tuesday October 17th. For all those taking the ALI Edwards Favorite photo class make sure you have the following:

• 8 5x7 photos
• 4 horizontal 4x6 photos

Ok well, last week was a great week. We had so much fun at Edith's Morning Class

It was nice to see everyone bright eyed and ready to scrap. You can check out our message board for more photos of the class.

We had a great kids class this past weekend. Nancy, who teaches kids all week loves to come in and teach our Kids class. She really does some creative things planned for the kids. Nancy also has some really great Halloween layouts classes coming up. I think Nancy enjoyed doing this layout more than the kids did.

Crop-Tober is going to be great- we got great so much happening. We got some awesome layouts for our first challenge. Everyone should come to the store to vote. I extended the deadline until Friday so get them in. We got some great product in and we can't keep it on our shelves- get it before its gone. Tune in next week I will be upload all of our crop photos while we are there. Cyber Crop with us all weekend long. I will be posting to our blog all weekend. As long as I have my laptop with me.

COME JOIN US

Come join us for morning classes with Ramona & Edith. We start at 9:30, so if you have to pick up your preschooler, you'll be out in plenty of time. Check the web-site class calendar for days and descriptions. We had such a great respose for our first back to school crop that we are going to be holding a day crop twice a month. The crop is free. You can use our tools but we will not be serving any food. We will hold it the first Wedesnday of the month and the third Thursday of the month. It will be from 10-3. Don't forget about our friday night crops. Please remember to call ahead because we will not stay open anymore if no one is signed up. Even if you respond on the message board we still need you to call the store. We have a few more spots left open for the all day crop on September 23. Enjoy the weekend!
